Class 10 — Nursing Tips Part 2: The Back to Work Transition
You’re finally getting the hang of this nursing thing and then suddenly - boom - it’s time to go back to work. Reducing or eliminating the physical bond of nursing can be tough emotionally, but then there’s also the day-to-day logistics. In this session we’ll discuss how to balance pumping while getting through your work day, supplies that will make the transition smoother, and how to set your baby up for success with bottles or a combination of nursing and bottle feeding.
Class 9 — Baby On the Move
When it comes to our baby moving, are we helping or hindering? What are realistic mobility goals for certain ages (not just what your friend’s baby is currently doing or how quickly your nephew learned to walk)? Join this discussion to talk about how we can help our kiddos reach these milestones without skipping steps and why those steps are so important. We’ll talk about gestational age, true delays and how to work through them as well as baby devices that truly help rather than hinder natural movement.
Class 8 — Overcoming Sleep Challenges
Sleeping through the night again may feel like an impossible dream, but we’re here to help! For this session we’re joined by sleep training expert Becca Campbell, founder of Little Z’s Sleep. We’ll discuss sleep training basics, how chiropractic care can help with quality sleep and we’ll be taking all your burning questions, so come prepared! Remember, sleep training isn’t just about getting your baby to sleep, it’s also about helping you get the rest you need to be the parent you’ve always dreamed you’d be.
Class 7 — Feeding Baby: Beyond the Breast and Bottle
How do you know your baby is ready to start the transition to solid food? In this free, virtual session I’ll tell you the number one readiness sign I look for as a pediatric chiropractor. We’ll discuss your feeding options such as baby-led weaning versus purees and cereals as well as what current research suggests is the safest and best for baby. Bring your questions, advice and recommendations for baby foods and supplies to this community discussion.
Class 6 — How to Find the Best Pediatrician for You
For many parents, starting the hunt for a pediatrician can be one of the first daunting tasks added to their lists after finding out they’re pregnant. But how do you even know where to begin? Friends are probably giving you recommendations, but what makes a pediatrician a great fit for you? There may be options you didn’t even realize you had like in-home pediatric care or alternative and natural medicine approaches. For this session, we’ll be joined by Dr. Janet West with RVA Baby to discuss modern pediatric care and the many options you have, as well as when and why pediatricians recommend chiropractic care. We’re ready to take on all those questions you have swirling around in your head. Do not miss this opportunity to put your mind at ease about your baby’s future healthcare provider!

Class 5 — Registry Basics: Chiropractor-Approved Baby Gear
Are you overwhelmed trying to build a registry for your baby? I will help you navigate the many options available in several categories such as strollers, car seats, diapers and baby carriers. I spent a lot of time in stores testing strollers and weighing car seats so you don’t have to!

Class 4 — Ergonomic Baby Carrying
There are so many carrier options available now that it can be overwhelming to choose which might be best suited for you and your partner. In this course we will talk about the different types of carriers, wraps and slings and which situations each might be better suited for. This will be a group discussion so bring your feedback on your favorites and those you didn’t prefer and why.

Class 3 — Nursing 101: Tip, Tricks and Tons of Support
As a chiropractor and new mom I have accumulated several tips and tricks to help new parents settle into feeding their little ones more comfortably. We will talk about pillows and supports to help your feeding posture, nursing supplies to help collect that precious liquid gold, how to get familiar with your breast pump, nipple care, and tips on milk storage.

Class 2 — Healing and Feeling Well After Baby
“Healing” after birth has many different meanings. In this session we will discuss healing on two levels! First we will tackle the not-so-often talked about tissue healing involved with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. We’ll also discuss tips and tricks to make you more comfortable as well as things you may want to stock up on before your baby arrives.

Class 1 — Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum During COVID-19
